Since 1997 when the Sunderland Football Club had become associated with the Stadium of Light, the football club had used up to ten previous locations to house games which were played against other teams within the Premier League.

As one of the fifth largest stadiums through England, there are forty-nine thousand people that can be fit within the stadium – and would you believe that the majority of the time, these stadiums are indeed filled with fans that are seeking to have an up close and personal view of the players, the team and the prestigious stadium in which the games at home are played by the Sunderland football club.

The stadium is a type of all-seater stadium that makes use of seats throughout the stadium, rather than making use of standing area that is available through many other stadiums. There are many advantages to having all all-seater stadiums including the fact that everyone within the stadium is able to enjoy a comfortable seat and other stadiums that have less expensive seats for standing room only through the common use of large terraced areas that can be found throughout the stadium. Through these areas of standing room only, players are unable to sit comfortably while they are in the stadium, for games that can last upwards of several hours.

Through the large capacity which can be demonstrated within the stadium, there are many, many individuals are every single game and in most cases the stadium is actually filled to capacity. Through the stadium and the all-seating components, the Stadium of Light is an exciting place to be through the football games which are being held at home.
