Non-League Barrow will face Sunderland in the 3rd round of the FA Cup after seeing of Oxford United in the 2nd round on Tuesday night. Barrow overcame Oxford 3-1 at their Holker Street ground.

Barrow are expected to bring as many as 7000 fans with them when they travel to face the Black Cats in January.

33-year old Barrow captain Phil Bolland was over-joyed when speaking following Barrow’s victory.

“You want to play against a Premier League club at any age, but I’m getting towards the end of my career now so these days will be few and far between. I’m just made up. We’ll be playing against players you watch on the television. It’ll be a bit surreal really.”

Sunderland go into the game at odds of 25/1 to lift the FA Cup, while barrow are rank outsiders at 7500/1 with most online betting firms.
